Matt Paradis and his wife Dana do a good job with small groups at their church Chilhowee Hills. Part of that stems from a monthly dinner at the pastor’s home that helps the students feel connected to the overall church.

These guys use a facility called, “The Vue” to connect with college students on several campuses and to see their ministry grow. They have resources to work together with other churches and ministries to see things happen in this age group. They do small group ministry as well. Thanks to Montana and Will for their ministry to collegiate students and the next generation.

Why do you do what you do? I am a product of Baptist Campus Ministry. I felt called to be for others what many were for me.

What is the most encouraging aspect of collegiate ministry? Being able to know students years beyond their involvement in BCM and to hear them speak of the way that Christ used their time as part of our BCM family

Prayer Requests:1) For our students to take seriously their call to discipleship. 2) that our ministry would be a place where significant, healthy life changes take place. 3) That Christ would be faithfully represented by my life and by our students’ lives.

“Around lunchtime, we all, our family, the BCM students, alumni, and 38 international students, joined together at the BCM building to celebrate Thanksgiving together, sharing laughs and stories and memories of years past.

Times like this remind me of what is best about the BCM. A place on campus for students to gather and share life together; students devoted in their faith, students exploring faith, and students unfamiliar with the Christian faith. The BCM continues to be a place on campus where the “good news” can be shared in word and deed.  The impact of little gatherings like the one we experience a few weeks ago can impact our city, our state, our country, and the entire world.”

Every year at this time, students move into dorms on campus. Tennessee Baptist Collegiate Ministries around the state are there to help the students (and parents) and to serve! Pray for the BCM students as they meet new students and develop relationships that may give them an opportunity to share Christ!

Pray for the students attending this weekend conference that they will learn to be Christ-like leaders and use their skills to further the Kingdom of God!

Please pray for Union University students who are on mission during their spring break. There are mission trips to Boston, MA, Louisville, KY, New Orleans, LA, New York City, NY, and Connecticut. Please pray for safe travel and the opportunity to share the Good News with people they serve this week.

UT Chattanooga BCM Mission Trip to Boston, MA

Students from the UT Chattanooga BCM spent their spring break ministering in Boston,MA working with two churches and on the campus of MIT. They spent their spring break painting, passing out granola bars with church information at subway stops and teaching English to some international students at MIT. Please pray for the contacts they made that God will use their outreach and service to grow the churches and ministries in that area.
