UTHSC BCM Mission Trip to Ecuador
Beginning on Saturday, June 17th, the BCM will take a group of 16 to Tabacundo, Ecuador to serve alongside local churches by providing dental clinics. Our mission trip is pretty unique: many of the students who are serving with us are not Christians, so we have a dual opportunity to share Christ with our patients and our students. Below is a day-by-day guide of how you, your small group/Sunday School class, or family can pray for our team.
Saturday: Travel day. Pray for a smooth check in procedure, that everyone makes it to the airport by 3:45 AM, and for safe travel. We are set to arrive at the camp around 8:30 PM. It will be a long day
Sunday: We will have a worship gathering with the camp staff where we’re staying, then set up the clinic for the following day. Many of our students are not Christians, so this is a good opportunity for us to set a spiritual tone for the entire week. Last year, one of our students attended a church service for the first time in his life this day.
Monday: The first day of clinic! Pray for our students as they begin seeing patients. For many, these will be the first live patients they have ever seen. Pray for opportunities for spiritual conversations with both students and patients.
TN Travel Team Ministering at Bonnaroo Jesus Tent
The Send TN TN Travel Team had the opportunity to work at the Jesus Tent at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. It was a great time for these summer missionaries to share their faith and provide needed supplies.
