This is an invitation to pray, a call to pray, and a plea to pray…would you be willing to Pause & Pray every Tuesday for Tennessee campuses, students, and BCM staff?
When we think of being in college Lord, we most often think of fun-filled days, being free and full of energy. For the most part it is a time of adventure, learning and not much responsibility. However, we know those are not totally true assumptions. Jesus be a friend to: To the lonely – the students who miss their family and friends from home, foreign students who do not understand language and customs, and introverts who find it difficult to make friends. Jesus be a physician and counselor to: Those who come with illnesses and find college life a challenge, the depressed , the handicapped students who must give more time in order to attend classes, students who come with past traumas and those who are making poor choices. Jesus be a provider to: Those who barely have enough money to attend college, students who must work while studying and going to class and those who were promised financial benefits that were never delivered. Jesus be a comforter to: Students who have experienced loss, those who are experiencing broken relationships and to those who are grieving the death of a parent. Jesus be a Savior to: Those who do not know You. Jesus we believe You. Amen”
The month of September is Welcoming the Nations Month. The nations have come to us and are on our campuses. What if all believers on our campuses were intentional about fulfilling the Great Commission by welcoming international students and introducing them to the love of Jesus Christ? We could literally reach the world for Christ right where we are! Pray for the international ministries on the different campuses.
