Who is the most influential person in you life?
I would have to say Mark Gold, for several reasons. First of all he led me to Christ when I was 11-years-old. He became my youth minister when I was old enough to participate in youth ministry. Mark was there to help counsel me when I sensed God leading me to occupational ministry, and in that process, he as me to be a part of “youth staff” as a 9th grader. I was involved in leading other students to follow Christ througout high school because my youth minister was equipping leaders to do the work of the ministry. Mark also preached my ordination charge before I started serving at my first church staff position. His example has continued to impact me even now, though that was almost 30 years ago. Closely associated with him was my pastor Bobby Moore, who, through a Godly example, helped shape my heart for the Lord.
Prayer Requests for Jeff and the ministry at the University of Memphis:
- Pray for Jeff that he would be able to continue with perseverance AND passion to seek God fully and fulfill the calling to ministry that he has been purposed toward
- Pray that the BCM ministry would grow through seeing people come to Christ and that the students and staff would make every effort to connect those students to the local church. The BCM seeks to serve and build the local church, and Jeff and the students want wisdom to know how to best accomplish that through the leadership and power of the Holy Spirit.
