Pray for students at UT Health Science Center in Memphis. The BCM on campus will be presenting their annual “Beast Feast” this week on April 25. This dinner event is an effort to reach students with the gospel and raise funds for missions. The ministry is expecting over 200 students, staff, faculty and alumni to eat and hear speaker Jimmy Sites.
Pray for Campus Minister Bryan Gill as he leads and ministers to the students at UT Health Science Center in Memphis.
Students in BCM are involved in ministry to students and to influence our world for Christ as well. Recently, from March 5-15, 2013, the International Justice Mission had a week where college campuses around the country stood for 27 hours for the 27 million slaves in the world. Students on campuses in Tennessee participated in supporting this movement to create awareness of human exploitation.
Students on campus at Austin Peay State University were organized by sophomore Haley Richards and Lauren McKinney. McKinney and Richards along with others stood for 27 hours in the University Center Plaza on campus.
There was also a group of students at LMU who wanted to participate in this stand. However, due to time scheduling issues, the event was postponed until April. The different campus ministries—Baptist Collegiate Ministries, The Hill, and Brother and Sisters in Christ—decided to join together and make the Stand for Freedom happen at Lincoln Memorial University. On April 18 and 19, students stood for freedom in Harrogate, TN.
